Introduction
Dante joined Atlantia in early 2001, in the Barony of Caer Mear. In 2005, he began to study historical Italian rapier in earnest. In 2008, he moved to the Barony of Stierbach before eventually returning to Caer Mear in 2015.
Dante is passionate about historical fencing and the instruction thereof. A career educator, he is always willing to spend time helping someone improve their training methodology or work through a question regarding fencing.

On Historical Fencing with the Rapier and Dagger, by Darren Di Battista. This text serves as a practical introduction to Italian fencing concepts as they appear in the works of Capoferro, Fabris, and Giganti.
Dante is the founder and leader of the Schola Minervae, a historical fencing guild dedicated to providing support for learners and teachers according to educational best practices, with a focus on clear direction and constructive feedback.

Cultural Influence
Dante is the originator of "Atlantian single combat," offered to the final opponent in a melee. He is also the source of "I'm an Atlantian Free Scholar: that's like a don in your kingdom," first used on a tabard made for the Free Scholar prize of Master Dominyk Wolferam at KWAR, 2005.
Dante is the principle author of the Academie d'Espee oaths adopted circa 2009.
