Order of the White Scarf of Atlantia

The Order of the White Scarf of Atlantia is an Order of High Merit that honors and recognizes those subjects who have excelled in the exercise and advance of the noble art of fence, and have distinguished themselves as examples of the precepts to which it is devoted.

White scarves that swear a Provost's Oath are also given the rank of provost within the Academie d'Espee.

Recipient will have "played the prize" for this accolade. The Academie d'Espee was originally a non-armigerous award, created in April 1993. TRM Cuán and Arianwen did confer the first upon Niall McKennett on April 3, 1993. With the signing of the White Scarf Treaty, the award was closed on April 20, 1996, and the new Order of the White Scarf, an AoA level order, replaced it. TRM Galmr and Katharina bestowed the first White Scarf to Godfrey de la Fosse on April 20, 1996, followed by the other 13 members of the Academie. As of October 1, 2001, the White Scarf became a Grant Level, polling order.
