Heraldry

Per pale vert and purpure, on a pile argent a winged cat sejant affronty, wings displayed, sable, in base a crescent argent.

Seonaid gave me my award of arms in August of 2011 and set me on my path in the SCA. She's also shared her love of knitting with my husband and helped him along his way. She's definitely been a motivating factor and a strong supporter in our lives.

Seonaid with Grace

Beneath the argent moon, her hair doth gleam,
A cascade rich, like gold in autumn’s light.
Seonaid, of noble heart and shrewd esteem,
Her grace a beacon in the court’s fraught night.

With needle keen, she weaves a garment fair,
Each thread a tale, each stitch a work divine.
Her daughter, radiant as dawnlit air,
Bears beauty and a wit her blood refines.

In halls of power, where sly deceits entwine,
She dances deftly, politics her stage.
A jest, a glance, her weapon’s silent shine,
Disarming foes, their wrath she doth assuage.

Yet cheeky laughter springs from lips unfeigned,
A duchess wise, with mirth and grace ordained.
