The Consort's Heir of Atlantia is the person who is next in line to be Consort of Atlantia. They are addressed as "Your Highness" or "Your Royal Highness" and referred to in the third person as "Princess/Prince/Consort's Heir (given name)," depending on gender. They may wear a crown to indicate their rank. They are the person for whom the Sovereign's Heir fought in the crown tournament.
Royalty is claimed through "Right of Arms" (armored combat). Consorts are selected twice a year at the Spring and Fall Crown Tournaments. The consort of the winner becomes the Heir Apparent (the Consort's Heir). This means when the reigning Consort steps down, they will be next to be crowned Consort, at which time they will rule for approximately six (6) months.
