Introduction

Arielle is a 14th Century French woman from the town of Pontoise, France. Pontoise was the capital of the French Vexin region and it played a conspicuous part in the Hundred Years' War (1337–1453). Given its close proximity to Pontoise (~17 miles), Arielle enjoyed traveling to Paris on several occasions with her scholarly father, who was a frequent visitor to his alma mater the College of Sorbonne. Arielle speaks both French and English, and enjoys studying various subjects, as well as riding horses, sewing, archery, and various other crafty pursuits.
