Sovereign of Atlantia

The King of Atlantia is the man who is currently reigning over Atlantia. He is addressed as "Your Majesty" or "Your Royal Majesty" and referred to in the third person as "King (given name)." He may wear a crown to indicate his rank. If he is Sovereign, he is the person who won the crown tournament. If he is consort, then he is the person for whom sovereign fought.

Royalty is claimed through "Right of Arms" (armored combat). Kings are selected twice a year at the Spring and Fall Crown Tournaments. The male winner of the Crown Tournament, or the male consort of the winner, becomes the Heir Apparent (the Crown Prince). This means when the reigning King steps down, he will be next to be crowned King, at which time he will rule for approximately six (6) months.

A Count is a man who has reigned as king once. A Duke is a man who has reigned as king more than once.
