| == Introduction ==
| |
| | |
| Olivier joined the SCA in the fall of 1999 and briefly spent some time looking into medieval Russia (under the persona/name Olsk Buslavl') before being enthralled by 12th c. France/Occitania.
| |
| | |
| For several years until his own elevation, Olivier was apprenticed to both Efenwealt Wystle and Aenor d'Anjou, learning how to improve himself in the courtly and performing arts.
| |
| | |
| He has spent most of his time in the SCA talking about and composing poetry, engaging in armored and rapier combat, and experimenting with a range of arts commonly pursued by many SCAdians (from leatherworking to armoring to costuming).
| |
| | |
| After taking some time off for graduate school, Olivier has recently returned to activity. However, these days he is much more enamored with the classical era, especially 5th-2nd c. BCE Scythian and Sarmatian cultures. Maybe a new/alternate persona will emerge to reflect this new phase of SCA activity? (Probably.)

| == Persona ==
| |
| | |
| Olivier de Bayonne is a troubadour in mid-12th c. Gascony, although these days he tends to do more teaching (and training for war) than writing or hiring joglars to perform his work.
